Job Description

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking a Green Economy Transition Specialist to join its team. As a specialist in green finance, you will play a crucial role in helping the bank achieve its goals of promoting sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in green finance, project development, and technical cooperation management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with multilateral climate funds and experience in managing consultants and related assignments.

As a Green Economy Transition Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to integrate the bank's Green Economy Transition (GET) approach into banking operations, including those co-financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). This will involve developing new green financial products, undertaking marketing and business development efforts, and supporting policy dialogue projects and due diligence processes.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also provide necessary support to clients through relevant information or documentation, as well as contribute to policy analysis and policy formulation in the areas of climate change, resource efficiency, energy efficiency, and technology transfer.
