Job Description

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is an integrated care organization that provides community and acute services to over half a million people in an urban center. We are seeking a Clinical Administration Specialist to join our medical retina team, who will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the work of the medical retina service.

Main Duties

  1. Managing complex 18-week pathways and ensuring patients are seen and treated within timeframes.
  2. Collaborating with the clinical team and patient administration manager to support capacity and demand.
  3. Ensuring excellent patient experience by answering all phone calls for the glaucoma service and working as part of a team is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant administration experience.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to interpret data from a variety of sources.
  • Working knowledge of NHS systems and processes.
  • Able to work as part of a team and influence others.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including WORD and EXCEL.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
