Supply Chain Planner
Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement integrated production and delivery strategies to minimize lead times and costs associated with production and freight options.
- Provide analysis of risks and costs associated with various supply scenarios to inform management decisions.
- Plan, schedule, and expedite production of finished goods from overseas suppliers to achieve on-time, in-full availability of product from the warehouse, in line with customer requirements.
- Develop a thorough understanding of supplier capacities and product lead times to ensure accurate planning of production that maximizes supplier efficiency and order fulfillment at the lowest overall cost to the company.
- Accurately prioritize production schedules in line with changing needs to meet customer requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact between sales and suppliers regarding advising of product availability and expediting deliveries.
- Make recommendations for performance improvement and implement, in conjunction with SCM, to maintain and increase competitiveness and obtain maximum value from suppliers.
- Update systems to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date logistics information is available at all times, and that all internal customers are aware.
- Perform month-end review and reconciliation of all finished goods and stock to maximize opportunities to ship and invoice goods to customers, and for financial reporting.
- Previous experience within a planner position or similar.
- Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must live within a commutable distance of Uxbridge.
- Must be self-sufficient and able to work independently as well as with teams.
- Temp position with immediate start and the chance to go into a permanent position.
- Monday to Friday - 07:30am to 16:00pm.
- £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE).
- Competitive holiday.
