Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Specialist to develop their career through a tailored CESR training program.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality Paediatric care within the Trust.
  • Maintain the highest clinical standards in patient management, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  • Assist with teaching, training, and assessment of junior staff, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
  • Ensure active participation in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and contribute to the development of good working relationships with medical, nursing, and other healthcare colleagues.

About the Role

The Community and Children's Directorate at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust offers a supportive and dynamic environment for Paediatric Specialists to grow and develop their skills. Our Trust runs regular Clinical Governance and Audit meetings, and there are opportunities for weekly CPD sessions in the Postgraduate Centre.

Job Requirements

  • MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
  • APLS and NLS or equivalent provider status.
  • Evidence of achievement of ST3 competences in Paediatrics at the time of application or likelihood of achieving these by the start date of the post.
