Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our paediatric ward, you will provide exceptional nursing care to children and their families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and provide individualized care to children, identifying nursing problems and needs in partnership with their family/carer.
- Recognize and respond to vulnerable children, seeking support from senior staff as appropriate.
- Deliver skilled care, demonstrating technical and practical competency with patient observations, equipment management, medication, and administration of agreed invasive tests and procedures.
- Administer intravenous drugs and medicines, calculate, prepare, and administer complex intravenous infusions according to unit guidelines.
- Use specialized paediatric equipment in the clinical area, ensuring safe and effective care.
- Assess and provide educational and information needs for infants, children, and families.
- Act as an advocate for babies and their families, facilitating discharge and transfer in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and parents.
- Deliver programmes of care based on current research-based practice, promoting evidence-based care and family-centered approaches.
- Registered RN (Child) with NMC registration.
- Safeguarding training.
- Demonstrated experience working with children, infants, and young persons.
- Desirable: EPALS (European Paediatric Advanced Life Support).
