Critical Care Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Team Lead to join our team at The Wellington Hospital.

About the Role
  • As a Critical Care Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Senior Staff Nurses in the Cardiac ITU Unit.
  • You will also have the opportunity to step up as a deputy to the Sister/Charge Nurse, helping to manage the unit when needed.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a deputy to the Sister/Charge Nurse, providing leadership and support to the nursing team.
  2. Deliver care to a high standard, often with a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio.
  3. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
  4. Provide emotional and professional support to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with valid NMC registration.
  • Extensive experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU/ITU) setting, ideally with experience in Cardiac ITU or General ITU care.
  • Completed 60 credits Adult Critical Care/Intensive Care Course.
