About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the procurement strategy across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small team to ensure the successful delivery of supplier sourcing, procurement planning, RFT management, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
  • Take ownership of managing key supplier relationships and resolving business-critical supply chain issues.
  • Analyse and report spend management information to drive continuous improvement and maximize risk mitigation.
  • Drive innovation in supplier management practices to ensure the organization remains competitive.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in an SME-sized organization.
  • Strong experience of managing purchasing teams and leading the procurement of specialist direct materials within a manufacturing or engineering organization.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing and negotiation, supplier management, supply chain management, and risk management.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with a commitment to development, engagement, and creating a high-performing and customer-centric culture.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 to £65,000 plus bonus, and excellent pension and benefits.
