Housing Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Housing Advice Worker to join our team in Kent. As a key member of our homelessness service, you will play a crucial role in supporting customers to secure stable housing and overcome the challenges associated with homelessness.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering a competitive salary of £26,077 per annum, along with benefits such as 25 days' annual leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, and career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide resettlement support to customers moving from refuge to community-based accommodation
- Support customers in managing risks associated with their properties
- Build trusting relationships with customers to facilitate smooth transitions to permanent accommodation
- Liaise with local charities to access move-on items for customers
- Acknowledge customers' entitlements and empower them to access relevant services and benefits
You will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of our service. Your expertise in strengths-based practices and trauma-informed approaches will be invaluable in this role.
We encourage applications from individuals with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in the social care sector. A full driving license and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.
