**About This Role:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Homelessness service in Sevenoaks.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals who have experienced homelessness. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing holistic support and guidance to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:**

  • To provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well;
  • To exercise choice and control in their care and lives;
  • To participate on an equal footing in the community;
  • To support customers with job searches and employment search as well as support with completing job applications and CVs;
  • To build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and external partners, creating a positive atmosphere;
  • To conduct regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals;
  • To create support plans for providing appropriate services based on ongoing assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery;
  • To ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking';
  • To provide support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making;
  • To undertake support work in partnership with external stakeholders to compliment their interventions, leading on partnering with specialist stakeholders;

About You:

  • You will be passionate about working with vulnerable adults and have a strong desire to make a positive difference in their lives;
  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike;
  • You will be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment;
  • You will be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional resilience and a positive attitude, with the ability to cope positively with challenging and diverse behaviours;

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field;
  • Experience working in the social care sector, preferably in a homelessness setting;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer outcomes;
