The Supported Housing Officer will maintain regular contact with tenants, undertaking scheduled programme of property inspections, they will also report repairs and chasing up completions and keeping full electronic records of all repairs and inspection activity.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring that repairs that fall within the responsibility of external landlords and those of the client are reported in a timely manner in accordance with procedures and to monitor the progress and completion of all reported and outstanding repairs
- Tracking all repairs maintaining contact with tenants to ensure that all contractor appointments run smoothly and access is granted/provided to contractors for the completion of repairs
- Escalating and tracking issue as per procedures where repair contractors have not been mobilised by external landlords
- Inspection of selected repairs where concerns have been raised regarding issues of quality and completion of works satisfactions forms only when repairs have been satisfactorily completed
- During property inspections advising tenants of any deficiencies caused by them and as necessary agreeing actions to resolve to minimise possibility of tenant's damage to accommodation and the need of recharges
- Assisting in the investigation and resolution of tenant's complaint and supporting the Housing & Agency Contracts Manager in matters of neighbour disputes and antisocial behaviour
- Assisting tenants when moving in or out as required and ensuring that photographic evidence of the room is taken at each tenant change over. Inspecting empty properties/ vacated rooms, arranging disposal of former tenant possessions, arranging access to contractorsfor pre-letting works and inspections to confirm readiness for new lettings including recording meter readings
- Ensuring that any fly tipping that may be present at properties is recorded, reported and removed by the relevant bodies/agencies
- Ensuring that all relevant notices, information posters and signage remains in place in appropriate locations at properties and replaced/updated as required
Key Knowledge & Experience:

- 5 GCSE's or equivalent
- Competent in recordkeeping
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Management of appointments and coordination of tasks
- Demonstrable excellent IT skills, particularly using Word, Excel and Outlook
- An ability to deal sensitively with individuals
- Ability to assess risk and limitations of personal abilities
- Management of tenants and property
- Completion of property inspections
- Repair reporting & working with contractors
- Tenancy sign ups and terminations
- Property related health & safety
- Ability to produce clear and concise written reports
- Understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults
- Drive and have own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
