About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Integrated Stroke Therapy Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist complex clinical assessments, physiotherapy treatment, and advice to patients with complex neurological needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist physiotherapy services to children and young people with neurological conditions.
  • Manage a clinical caseload, including those with highly complex needs, and supervise and support junior staff.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatments and participate in a robust in-service training program.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, including physiotherapy assistants, and contribute to service review and development.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy and State Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience working with children and young people with neurological conditions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Positive attitude towards people with disability and a willingness to participate in appraisal and supervision.
