About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy service, you will be responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership in your specialist area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision, in-service training, and mentoring to support the team in promoting an efficient and effective service.
  • Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of students to a graduate standard, working with universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the required standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to promote a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Health Care Professions Council.
  • Clinical experience as a Band 6 with specialist knowledge of Musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Supervision of senior and junior staff and students.
  • Experience of organizing and implementing training programs for staff.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
