Quality Compliance Manager

Role Overview:

In light of an internal advancement, we are on the lookout for a Quality Manager to enhance our team at the Avonmouth facility. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary support for the Technical Manager, taking full ownership of quality assurance for our renowned brand. At Hovis, we maintain high standards, striving for audit readiness at all times, as evidenced by our recent AA* BRC certification.

As a Quality Manager, you will thrive on engaging with your colleagues, making a positive impact on both our workforce and our quality benchmarks. Your ability to inspire and cultivate meaningful relationships will be key as you coach and guide your peers towards achieving superior standards. You will take ownership of your responsibilities and possess the skills to influence various stakeholders to secure favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company, retailer, industry, operational, and legal standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments and the broader organization.
  • Oversee complaint investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
  • Lead and efficiently manage external audits.
  • Administer the internal audit program to promote compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Design and deliver training programs focused on food safety and quality.
  • Investigate food safety, compliance, and quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventive actions.
  • Provide analytical reports on key quality and safety indicators and propose measures for ongoing enhancement.
  • Actively participate as a member of the HACCP team.
  • Understand workflows and identify critical paths from a delivery perspective.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification or higher.
  • Experience in auditing, having supported or led multiple audits.
