Key Responsibilities- Manage the Quality Assurance Team: Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals to ensure that all quality-related tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Ensure Compliance: Work closely with the technical teams to ensure compliance with all relevant quality management systems, audit standards, and legal requirements.
- Quality Management System: Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system, including managing and organizing audits and ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
- Traceability and Calibration: Manage and maintain the traceability system, including leading traceability exercises and organizing calibration of equipment.
- Document Control: Manage and maintain all quality-related documents, including ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Non-Conforming Products: Manage the control of non-conforming products, including investigating and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with production managers, supervisors, team leaders, and operatives to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed promptly.
- KPIs and Reporting: Compile and analyze KPI data for the technical department on a weekly basis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Communication and Attention to Detail: Possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure that all quality-related tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Technical Experience: Have experience working in a technical team within a food manufacturing environment and a good understanding of quality management systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise.
- Desirable Qualifications: Hold a degree or equivalent in Food Science or a related field, and have experience in a supervisor/managerial position.
