About the Role

This Senior Social Worker position requires someone with exceptional leadership skills, capable of managing complex caseloads, promoting independence, and ensuring safety while balancing rights and risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be able to adapt to fluctuating circumstances and capacities.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assess and manage complex caseloads, prioritising individual, child, carer, and family needs.
  2. Develop and implement effective interventions to promote independence, provide support and protection, and ensure safety.
  3. Lead safeguarding initiatives, assessing and planning for complex cases, and supporting colleagues in implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
  4. Promote best practices through mentoring, coaching, and developing others within the team.
Requirements

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you must possess:

  • A CQSW, DipSW, BA Social Work, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated salary: up to £46,419 per annum.
