Child Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and caring Child Support Worker to join our team in Grimsby. As a Child Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to children with special educational needs (SEN), emotional or behavioral challenges, or those requiring additional support to succeed in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for children with SEN or additional needs
- Assist children in managing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to deliver tailored support plans
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage children's independence, self-confidence, and overall personal development
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with children and work as part of a team
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
- Passion for making a positive impact in children's lives
