About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Youth Participation Officer to join our team in the Arts and Culture Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing, delivering, and monitoring a range of cultural programmes for young creatives aged 14+ within the London Borough of Culture.

Working closely with the Programme and Partnership Manager, you will help to lead on these programmes, facilitating young people's access to creative careers and ensuring their voices are heard in the programme. You will work directly with participants, facilitating sessions, collaborating with artists, and utilizing your project management skills to produce events and activities.

Safeguarding training will be provided as part of your induction. Some evening and weekend work will be required, but we offer a flexible working arrangement to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver cultural programmes for young creatives aged 14+ within the London Borough of Culture.
  2. Work closely with the Programme and Partnership Manager to lead on these programmes and ensure young people's voices are heard.
  3. Facilitate sessions, collaborate with artists, and utilize project management skills to produce events and activities.
  4. Ensure safeguarding best practices are followed at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  2. Good youth facilitation skills and proven understanding of youth participation panels.
  3. Experience of delivering art projects.
  4. Good evaluation skills and basic understanding of data processing.
