**Job Overview**

The Education Authority seeks a skilled Youth Development Coordinator to work directly with young people, developing their social education through engaging programmes of activities.

This role reports to the Worker in Charge or nominated Youth Support Worker and focuses on delivering high-quality youth support services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in planning and implementing programmes aligned with the 'Model for Effective Practice.'
  • Encourage young people's active participation in the youth group, promoting a model of youth participation.
  • Establish effective communication and build rapport with young people.
  • Develop relationships with the wider community and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Support young people in setting and achieving their goals.
  • Challenge oppressive behavior among young people.
  • Provide information and support to young people as needed.
  • Evaluate youth work activities and their impact on young people's development.
  • Implement the unit's Child Protection Policy and safeguard the welfare of young people and others.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks within the unit.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
