">About Our Work

We are seeking a dedicated Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer to play a vital role by providing companionship to someone we support in Bristol and spending quality time with them in their home. This involves engaging in activities they enjoy, such as chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, or playing board games.

Skill Requirements
  • To be kind, empathetic, and friendly
  • To possess a good sense of humour and love for conversation
  • To be punctual and reliable
  • To handle confidential information in line with our data protection procedures

Please note that applicants must be at least 18 years old. Prior to a volunteer role being confirmed, we require a DBS check and two satisfactory references. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, safeguarding training and any specific training related to the role are mandatory.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £15 per hour, taking into account the location and the level of commitment required for this role.
