Consultant Ophthalmologist with Specialist Interest in Glaucoma

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a specialist interest in Glaucoma and a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Summary:The Department of Ophthalmology is a leading provider of ophthalmic services in the UK, and we are committed to delivering excellent patient care and outcomes. As a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in Glaucoma, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the diagnosis and management of patients with Glaucoma.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care and management of patients with Glaucoma
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff
- Contribute to the teaching and training of medical students and junior doctors
- Eligible for full UK GMC registration and a Licence to Practise
- FRCOphth or/and MRCP or equivalent
- Must be on the Specialist Registrar, hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT/CCST) or be within 6 months of obtaining the CCT
- Higher degree (e.g. MD or PhD) in subject relevant to job role
