Job Description

Job Summary:

Techworker is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Services Field Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to our clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Travel to client sites to provide technical support and troubleshooting services.
  2. Own and resolve technical issues, providing fixes or workarounds to ensure business operations are normalized.
  3. Update tickets with details of work performed on the ticketing system.
  4. Prepare detailed reports of activity performed at client locations and update the same on systems.
  5. Install software as per instructions or general guidelines.
  6. Manage configuration changes of all IT assets.
  7. Resolve technical issues related to Windows 8/10, MAC OSX, Outlook, Wi-Fi, Printers, Routers, Hard-drive, logins, software, Office 365, or any other IT-related issues as requested by end-users.
  8. Setup mobile devices and configure them as per user needs.
  9. Assist technical teams in managing and fixing data-center issues.
  10. Provide remote assistance to users.

Requirements:

  1. Operating System (Installation and Management): Windows 8/10, Linux, MAC – OSX 10.4 and above.
  2. Email Systems (Configuration and Management): Outlook of Windows and MAC – OSX.
  3. Printers (Fixes, Ink Replacement): MFD Printers (Xerox, HP, Kyocera, Fujitsu), stand-alone printers, etc.
  4. Software (Installation and Troubleshooting): Office 365 Suite, Visual Basic, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Virtual Box, iTunes, Anti-Virus (McAfee, Norton) etc.
  5. User Management: Active Directory, Windows Credential Manager, MAC User Management.
  6. MAC -OSX Utilities.
  7. Security: Bit locker, Key chain, anti-virus, defender, firewall, proxy, etc.
  8. Ticketing Tools: ITIL compliant ticketing tools like service-now, remedy, manage engine, etc.
  9. At least, working knowledge of switches, routers, cables, firewall, and access points.

Desirable Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of MS DOS and Linux commands to operate OS.
  2. Knowledge of BIOS and Drivers troubleshooting.
  3. Deployment of Office 365 setup.
  4. Scripting language.
  5. Image deployment.
  6. Knowledge of European Language.

Certifications (Desirable):

  1. MCSA / MCSE (Windows 10 / Office 365 / Active Directory / Exchange, etc)
  2. CCT / CCNA or above (Datacenter / Routing and Switching)
  3. ACMT or above.
  4. ITIL V3 – Foundation

Selection Criteria:

A SMILING FACE, CUSTOMER SERVING PHILOSOPHY, CAN-DO ATTITUDE, AND POSITIVITY WILL HAVE EQUAL WEIGHTAGE IN SELECTION.

Additional Information:

  1. This role will involve some traveling, and arrangements for the same will be made by the company.
  2. Should be eligible to work in the UK. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
  3. A driving license will make your job easy, but it's not our selection criteria.
