We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Radiography Field Service Engineer to join our expanding Service Division Team at Burtons Medical Equipment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will specialize in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our cutting-edge digital X-ray systems, which require expertise in computer software, hardware, and networking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain digital X-ray systems, with a focus on software, hardware, and networking.
  • Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, and configuration of specialized X-ray acquisition software.
  • Perform installations, commissioning, and annual service visits for new and existing X-ray equipment at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues both onsite and remotely, via phone support or remote desktop access.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and third-party suppliers to source spare parts, technical manuals, and support.
  • Complete service reports and administrative tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • Manage your workload effectively, scheduling and planning jobs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and adhere to company guidelines and procedures.
About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a background in electronics, computing, biomedical engineering, or a related field. You should be skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as this role involves frequent interaction with customers, both in-person and remotely.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in computer hardware fault-finding down to component level (e.g., replacing hard drives, DIMMs).
  • Experience troubleshooting within a Windows environment.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles, including routing, switching, and TCP/IP.
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums.
  • Excellent time management, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with electronic, electrical, and mechanical repair, including the use of testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Ability to perform precise repairs with a high degree of manual dexterity.
