About the Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic doctor to join our Community Child Health team in Cornwall. As a Community Paediatrician, you will play a key role in expanding our service, working closely with specialty doctors across the county.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatrics, excellent communication skills, and experience in clinical audit and governance. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to develop and implement new ideas, while working collaboratively with our existing team of consultants and SAS grade doctors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Taking consultant responsibility for children with Neuro-disability across Cornwall
  • Developing and implementing new services to meet the needs of our community
  • Participating in the Child Protection Day and On-call rota (extended hours commitment 0700-1900)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration and Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT
  • CESR or European Community Rights
  • An appropriate higher paediatric qualification

Salary: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
