Role Overview

As a key member of our culinary team, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Exec Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop innovative menu items and ensure their consistent delivery. You will also lead the preparation and presentation of dishes, applying your expert culinary skills to surpass customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and present refined menu items to the Exec Head Chef and Sous Chef, enhancing our culinary offerings
  • Deliver exceptional service by creating visually appealing dishes and desserts that exceed customer satisfaction levels
  • Lead and manage the preparation and presentation of dishes in your designated section to ensure adherence to our high-quality standards
  • Maintain clear communication with the Exec Chef to guarantee compliance with food specifications and presentation standards
  • Support special events, catering, and menu planning initiatives to elevate our culinary reputation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow during peak hours
  • Provide constructive guidance and mentorship to junior staff operating under your supervision
  • Stay abreast of emerging culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients
  • Guarantee strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, safeguarding the health and well-being of our guests and staff

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie, or comparable role
  • Possess a culinary degree or relevant certification; however, it is not essential
  • Proven culinary skills and enthusiasm for innovation and culinary excellence
  • Ability to manage pressure, multitasking, and responsibility with poise and composure
  • Exceptional organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and solid time management abilities
  • Demonstrable creativity in designing original pastry creations
  • In-depth understanding of food safety and sanitation laws and regulations
  • Highly adaptable and capable of performing under time constraints while achieving goals
