Job Summary

We are seeking a Volunteer Recovery Practitioner to join our team in Merton. As a key member of our services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with drug and alcohol issues. Your passion for the work and commitment to delivering excellent care will make a significant difference in the lives of our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide harm reduction advice and support to service users, including guidance on drug awareness, overdose prevention, and safer injecting practices.
  • Assist with the Capital Card reward scheme, helping service users to access rewards and incentives.
  • Support practitioners with caseloads of service users, working one-to-one and co-facilitating groups to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Help service users access wider services, including completing referrals to onward agencies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of our services.

Requirements

  • A passion for the work and a commitment to delivering excellent care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Non-judgmental and supportive approach, with a focus on promoting recovery and well-being.
