Part-Time Safeguarding Coordinator with a Passion for Education

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-Time Safeguarding Coordinator to join our team at TimePlan Education. As a Safeguarding Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading on child protection in our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Southwark, ensuring that all pupils receive the highest level of care and support.
Main Responsibilities:
- To act as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring that all policies and procedures are rigorously implemented.
- To support staff in identifying and managing child protection issues, providing expert advice and training.
- To work collaboratively with external agencies, including social care, health, and the police, to achieve the best outcomes for our pupils.
- To maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection, ideally within an educational or alternative provision setting.
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable young people.
- Skilled in building relationships and confident working with multi-agency teams.
- Familiarity with statutory safeguarding frameworks and best practices.
