About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties in children and young people.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage individuals with severe and complex disabilities
  • Support and mentor less experienced SLTs, students, and assistants
  • Use and interpretation of assessments for specialist caseload
  • Experience and knowledge of use of AAC
  • Planning and delivery of clinical audit
  • Experience and implementation of a range of specialist treatment options for individuals and groups
  • Training or teaching of SLTs, other professionals, medical staff, and assistants
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage specialist caseload without direct supervision

Requirements

  • Recognised SLT degree or equivalent
  • Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Completion of postgraduate specialist courses e.g. Dysphagia etc.

Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant postgrad courses
  • CEN member
