Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties in children and young people.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have excellent team working skills, including experience of working with multi-agencies and across teams. You will work as an autonomous practitioner to assess, diagnose, and manage a shared specialist caseload of children and young people across the footprint. You will also support and facilitate student placements and mentor new members of staff.

Key Requirements
  • Recognised SLT degree or equivalent
  • Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Completion of postgraduate specialist courses e.g. Dysphagia etc.
Desirable Criteria
  • Relevant postgrad courses
  • CEN member
