Damp and Mould Management Specialist

We are partnering with a Housing Association in Surrey to fill a key role: a Damp, Mould and Disrepair Manager. This position is a 4-month temporary to permanent contract. Compensation includes a salary of £65,000 per annum, with a negotiable temporary rate based on experience. The start date will be subject to notice.
The successful candidate will lead changes to improve the proactive and preventative approach to damp and mould issues, ensuring alignment with the Housing Ombudsman recommendations. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive approach to tackling damp and mould, ensuring it is aligned with the Housing Ombudsman recommendations.
- Leading the team to adopt a more proactive and preventative approach to tackling damp and mould issues.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of commitments and action plans related to damp and mould, with clear timescales and expected outcomes.
- Providing leadership and management to the surveying teams and processes to ensure accurate and timely interventions for complex issues.
- Managing the Legal Disrepair Team and process, including collaboration with legal services to efficiently and effectively manage disrepair cases.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing damp, mould, and disrepair cases, with recent Social Housing experience.
- A formal qualification, such as HNC/HND or RICS, is required.

Working hours are 35 per week, from Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Please note that recent experience is required for this role.
