Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Damp & Mould Compliance (DMC) services across multiple Social Housing contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound operational and commercial principles are in place, driving business development and change, and establishing our company as a leader in proactive DMC management within the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and identify root causes of damp & mould in occupied buildings.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of various technical solutions to deliver long-lasting results for residents.
  • Work effectively with branch leaders to integrate the DMC Task Team into existing operations.
  • Build a collaborative team of DMC Specialists with strong technical expertise in damp & mould root cause identification and building performance.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive training programs for DMC Specialists.
  • Lead data analysis related to DMC service delivery and implement proactive risk management strategies.
  • Lead the growth and expansion of the DMC Task Team as a national service.
Requirements:
  • Building Surveying Qualifications.
  • General Health & Safety, IOSH, CSCS, SMSTS.
  • Demonstrable previous hands-on experience at Senior Management level.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive change.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Genuine understanding of industry and service delivery to a full range of clients.
  • Proactive results-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrable previous hands-on experience within the Social Housing arena.
