An exciting opportunity exists for a Midwife Leadership Position at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

This role is based in the Antenatal Clinic of Queens Hospital, Burton. You will work alongside the Senior Midwife, supporting the day-to-day running of the busy clinic and assisting with managerial tasks. In the absence of the Senior Midwife, you will take charge of the clinic.

You will provide high-quality care to patients accessing the service and work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive patient experience. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Senior Midwife in ensuring women, babies, and families receive safe, clinically effective, and woman-centered care across the entire maternity care pathway.
  • Leading by example, offering midwifery clinical advice, operational support, and deputizing for the Senior Midwife to manage teams and services.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately £43,141.

In this role, you will have opportunities to develop your leadership and management skills, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver care to women and babies with complex needs. You will also be expected to work flexibly across the service, using various service models, including continuity of carer.
