Job Description: This permanent position involves software development and support using various technologies. The role requires collaboration with business and IT teams, providing expert advice on IT solutions, developing new software, testing and deploying operational systems, mentoring junior team members, and submitting weekly reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand existing software systems.
  • Provide expert advice on the capabilities of IT solutions.
  • Draft technical requirements for each project based on internal specifications.
  • Develop new software using established team methodologies and tools.
  • Test and deploy operational systems in a live environment with comprehensive handover documentation.
  • Mentor junior team members and assist in resolving production issues.
  • Submit weekly reports detailing your work within the team.

Salary and Benefits: This role offers an estimated annual salary of £88,400 and a competitive hourly rate of £40 per hour. Benefits include 28 days paid holiday plus 6 optional additional unpaid days, totaling 34 days holiday. We also offer membership of the GA Family Profit Share after 2 years, a Christmas bonus prior to joining, complimentary tea and coffee, free onsite parking, life insurance equal to 3 times your basic annual salary, colleague discount on pet food for family and friends, and access to company events, clubs, and societies.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess strong technical skills in areas such as T-SQL, ADO.NET, C#, WPF, ASP.NET WebForms, WebAPI, AngularJS and Javascript, and TeamCity. Excellent communication and time management skills are also essential for this position.
