Job Summary:
Hamilton Woods is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our industrial facility in Knottingley, Yorkshire. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our processing equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on processing equipment, including drums, rollers, and conveyors.
- Conduct regular inspections and prepare plants and chutes for shutdowns.
- Perform welding and other repair techniques to patch up worn equipment.
- Participate in a planned/reactive maintenance split, with a focus on proactive maintenance.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of parts and components as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Be available for call-outs to other sites, with fuel expenses covered by a fuel card.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical discipline or equivalent.
- Apprentice-trained candidates are welcome.
- Experience in an industrial, heavy metal, or dirty environment; waste industry experience is ideal.
- Skills in welding and equipment patching are highly desirable.
Working Hours:
Shifts vary, with the possibility of call-outs.
