About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Primary Education Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the Liverpool Football Club Foundation's Premier League Primary Stars Programme, working closely with primary schools across Merseyside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a range of sports and educational activities to young people and adults in a primary school setting
  • Support teachers to improve their confidence in delivering PE lessons and educational activations
  • Work closely with the Premier League Primary Stars team to deliver the programme in a designated cohort of schools
  • Plan and prepare sessions using the Premier League Primary Stars templates, ensuring consideration for all abilities, ages, and SEND requirements
  • Deliver interventions on various topics to a high standard across different ages and abilities
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in line with the current primary school curriculum and OFSTED guidelines
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with primary school staff, including head teachers, PE coordinators, and receptionists
  • Collect and maintain monitoring and evaluation documentation for each Premier League Primary Stars session

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering sports coaching in schools to young people of all ages and abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the PE national curriculum across KS1 & KS2
  • Understanding of different teaching and learning styles
  • Sound understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and safeguarding issues when working with children and young people
  • Essential qualifications: 1st 4sport level 3 certificate in supporting the delivery of physical education, 1st 4sport level 2 award in multi-skills development in sport, AFPE Level 3 or QTS qualification, level 1 (or higher) qualification in safeguarding young people
