Job Summary:

Nova Training is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursery management team, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management: To deputise for the Nursery Manager and lead a room, ensuring the nursery environment is safe for children, staff, and others.
  2. Child Development and Care: To deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress and to support other staff in doing so.
  3. Staff Management and Development: To maintain good relationships with staff to support the welfare of the team and to be enthusiastic, fun, and engaging with children to promote excellent learning opportunities.
  4. Nursery Operations: To ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times, undertake designated safeguarding lead roles as directed, and work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
  5. Administrative and Organisational Tasks: To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, maintain records, and liaise closely with parents/carers.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications and Experience: A relevant qualification in Early Years Education and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  2. Skills and Abilities: Excellent leadership and management skills, ability to work with children and staff, and strong communication and organisational skills.
