Junior Java Developer Opportunity

We are excited to announce a Junior Java Developer position at our client, a leading retail software provider. With over 10 years of experience in their field, they have formed impressive partnerships with top brands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Java Developer to join a modern, agile, and friendly environment. You will be working alongside an amazing team of engineers and learning from the best, including ex-Google engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Java-based web applications using Spring Boot and Microservices
  • Working closely with technical architects and development managers to design and implement solutions
  • Contributing to testing, configuration, and release processes
  • Participating in design and implementation decisions
Requirements:
  • BSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group University
  • 1-3 years of commercial experience with Java and web application development
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  • Cloud hosting experience, e.g., AWS
  • Containerisation experience, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
  • Build tools experience, e.g., Maven, Gradle
  • Working knowledge of XML or JSON
  • Working knowledge of at least one J2EE container, e.g., Tomcat
