We are excited to partner with the UK's leading retail software provider to grow their Hertfordshire-based team with the addition of Junior Java Developers with 1-3 years experience.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Java Developer still fairly early in their career, and looking for a thrilling challenge where you can grow and develop both professionally and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement REST and SOAP web services
  • Work closely with technical architects and development managers to contribute to testing, configuration and release processes
  • Participate in design and implementation decisions
  • Learn new technologies and contribute to the development of modern software solutions
Requirements
  • BSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group University
  • 1-3 years commercial experience with Java and web application development
  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
  • Cloud hosting e.g. AWS
  • Containerisation e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
  • Build tools e.g. Maven, Gradle
  • Working knowledge of XML or JSON
  • Working knowledge of at least one J2EE container e.g. Tomcat
  • Bonus: frontend experience such as React, Angular, Vue
