Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Consents Manager to join our team in North West London. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of consents and approvals for the HS2 Old Oak Common station.

About the Role

The Senior Consents Manager will report directly to the Stakeholder Director and will be responsible for managing a small team of Consents Managers. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of consents reporting, including the 'Consents Register', 'Project Managers Update', and Board reporting.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the forward programme of consents is maintained, and resources and team capabilities match the on-going requirements. Additionally, you will oversee contract notices through the Contract Administration system CEMAR to ensure all necessary Early Warnings and General Communications are raised in good time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of Consents Managers to ensure consistent quality outcomes for the Consents team as a whole.
  • Oversee all consents reporting, including the 'Consents Register' and 'Project Managers Update'.
  • Ensure the forward programme of consents is maintained and resources and team capabilities match the on-going requirements.
  • Oversee contract notices through the Contract Administration system CEMAR to ensure all necessary Early Warnings and General Communications are raised in good time.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience of the consents environment in engineering and construction with a professional background in one of the relevant engineering sectors.
  • Experience in people management and a good understanding of collaborative working arrangements.
  • Sound commercial and project management approach.
  • Ability to influence and communicate to a variety of stakeholder and senior leadership team environments.
