Salary and Benefits:
  • Estimated annual salary: £38,648.00 per annum, subject to experience
  • Annual retention payment of £2,000
  • Flexible and agile working opportunities
  • 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service
  • Option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro-rata for part-time staff)
Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced qualified social worker to join our team as a senior assessments social worker in the vibrant borough of Gloucestershire.

  1. Assess and manage complex child and family cases, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality support services.
  2. Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored social work interventions.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting their professional development and growth.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the welfare and safety of children and young people.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.

  • Significant experience working within an assessments context, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and partnership working.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, coupled with a passion for promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
