**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join our team as an Offshore Marine Machinery Specialist. This role will involve delivering maintenance and safe operation of all machinery on board our vessel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and water systems in accordance with the vessel's Planned Maintenance Schedules.

They will also operate engines, generators, electrical, hydraulic, and water systems as required, and fully understand and utilise the Electronic Planned Maintenance System (BMAINTAIN/SCRAMS).

Liaising with contractors on behalf of the offshore technical team and advising and guiding relief Marine Engineers are also key aspects of this role.

In addition, the Offshore Marine Machinery Specialist will assist with the delivery of the cadet training programme and ensure that cadets and staff operate in line with the Charity's safeguarding and other policies.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • ENG1 or ML5 medical certification (or a willingness to obtain and maintain)
  • Ability to act as the sole Marine Engineer on board
  • Management and leadership experience with the ability to direct ship's staff and crew with clarity and authority
