About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Global Experience Specialists. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and successfully managing all post-sale fabrication and warehouse service projects orders through the production and fulfilment process to meet or beat estimated cost and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sales, estimating, and production personnel with property details, ensuring expert knowledge of exhibit construction and management.
  • Attend project technical workshops (PTW) to learn all project details and objectives.
  • Check project estimates for accuracy against project details in PTW.
  • Create or manage the creation of change orders as required.
  • Request detailing for projects and lead detailers through the detailing process to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide detailers with property information, including TRACE information, and engineering solutions.
  • Confirm property use through TRACE and adjust reservations as required.
  • Submit rental depot requests with accurate parts requirements to depot.
  • Issue control drawings to AM/AE for approval.
  • Identify items for purchase and optimize purchase to meet or beat cost and quality targets.
  • Submit requisition requests to procurement, providing information for accurate final purchase.
  • Add or alter purchase requests for changes or additions as required.
  • Submit shop paperwork and drawings to appropriate shop contacts.
  • Set up project team meetings to review all production objectives with production.
  • Monitor shop progress and alert production management and sales to concerns.
  • Ensure production personnel are guided to achieve project objectives as they change.
  • Coordinate the receipt of all required materials for project objectives.
  • Review and approve the quality of produced items.
  • Run cost reports and alert production management of possible cost overruns.
  • Coordinate graphics production with sales, including accurate graphic sizes and outputs.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments with sales to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
  • Lead detailers to produce accurate setup drawing kits.
  • Provide setup drawing kits to sales and/or ExpoServices as required.
  • Work with sales or independently (as required) to meet with ExpoServices to download project requirements.
  • Check all shipping documents for shipment accuracy.
  • Provide sales and Expo teams with ongoing field support, including the production or shipping of additional items.
  • Upload final installation sets of drawings to GBMS.
  • Ensure new properties are added to TRACE.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in exhibit construction/management, architecture, construction management, business management, industrial design, or related fields.
  • 2-5 or more years of related experience.
  • Drafting experience, CAD drafting preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and graphics.
  • Ability to analyze available information and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to monitor, understand, manage, and control project costs and their impacts on project performance.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PPT).
  • Experience using ERP, Work Order, and Inventory Management Systems preferred.
  • Ability to understand and read fabrication and installation drawings.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
