Job Overview

The Clinical Expert will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of Palliative Medicine services at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team and advance your knowledge and skills in symptom management and end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in ward rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with life-limiting conditions.
  • Conduct audits and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Engage in educational activities to promote excellence in Palliative Medicine and develop the skills of other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines to ensure best practice in symptom management and end-of-life care.

Person Specifications

  • Hold a MB ChB/MB BS degree and be registered with the GMC.
  • Have MRCP/MRCGP accreditation.
  • Have experience in Palliative Medicine or a related field.
  • Be able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
