Job Title: Digital Training Team Facilitating Trainer Lead

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two highly skilled Facilitating Trainer Leads to deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. The selected candidates will be responsible for delivering this training across the Mid and South Essex region, working closely with Experts by Experience (EBEs) who co-facilitate delivery.

This is a one-year fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity, allowing the successful candidates to make a significant impact on the delivery of this essential training program.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Tier 1 and 2 of the Oliver McGowan Programme, with a focus on delivering high-quality training sessions to a variety of staff groups.
  • Work alongside Experts by Experience (EBEs) who co-facilitate delivery, providing support and leadership to ensure successful training outcomes.
  • Travel to various locations to facilitate training sessions, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Good standard of education - equivalent of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Clear experience of proficient and successful delivery of face-to-face training in health and social care or similar environment
  • Experience delivering high-quality services to people with a learning disability and autistic people in a professional role such as registered nurse in learning disability, occupational therapist or social worker, or can demonstrate an equivalent level of skills, knowledge and experience
  • Has an up-to-date working knowledge of the fields of autism and learning disability and is familiar with current issues
  • A relevant training qualification (level 3) or teaching qualification such as Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS), Multi-professional support of learning and assessment in practice or an equivalent
