Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering project and contract management services to support the investment and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver project and contract management services to support the investment and maintenance of our properties
  • Monitor and report on budgets for allocated projects, including procurement, contract administration, and project delivery
  • Lead in the survey, preparation, development, management, and delivery of planned projects, including the management of external contractors, consultants, and local authorities
  • Provide project management and supervision of investment projects to our housing stock and prioritize and administer the Investment budget for planned preventative maintenance and capital improvement works
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent in a technical or building-related field
  • Experience of building and construction health and safety, fire risk assurance, including building design and specification, and the material qualities of building components
  • Experience in the delivery and preparation of professional survey reports
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of asset planning and directing investment through major works programmes
  • Substantial contract management experience with knowledge of standard forms of contract, procurement methods, and tendering processes
  • Procurement experience, ensuring all contracts entered into comply with appropriate regulations and are in line with our policies, procedures, and procurement regulations
  • Accomplished time management skills and ability to plan effectively and prioritize workloads so that all deadlines and targets are achieved
  • Strong report writing skills, numeracy skills, and excellent communication skills, both oral and written
