Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant in a Salisbury School

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students aged 3-18 with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and other special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to achieve learning objectives.
  • Support students in a one-to-one and group setting, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and think creatively is essential.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training is required.
