About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Care Manager to lead our team at Sterling Supported Living Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a small dedicated team to deliver exceptional care and support to our young people.
  • Ensure the home is fully equipped with the right resources and a capable team that is trained, skilled, and qualified to operate safely and compliantly at all times.
  • Engage and involve the team in the implementation of the home's statement of purpose to ensure everyone's valuable input is considered and respected.
  • Ensure the children under your care experience optimal physical and mental well-being, while being protected from harm.
  • Lead the performance of the home, continuously evaluating reports to drive improvement, while ensuring strict adherence to all relevant legislations.
  • Chair meetings with children and young people, professionals, and lead staff meetings, completing rotas, and providing support with training and development.
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management within Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards the qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Children's Home Manager or Deputy Manager role within a Children's Residential setting.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children's and Young People's Workforce.
  • Experience of working under the regulatory body of Ofsted and managing challenging behaviour, including attachment and trauma.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with a proven track record of working and managing conflicting challenges.
  • Right to work and live in the UK.
  • Full Driving Licence.
