Experienced Litigator Wanted for Thriving Housing Disrepair Department

We are seeking an experienced Litigator to join our thriving Housing Disrepair Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of civil litigation cases from inception to conclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Manage a caseload of civil litigation cases, including pre-action protocol, commencing proceedings, and dealing with cases through to trial.
- Litigation Strategy: Develop and implement dynamic litigation strategies, both individually and as part of a team.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to prepare statements, obtain documentary evidence, and provide practical advice at all stages of the litigation.
- Document Preparation: Prepare documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and witness statements.
- Case Strategy and Settlement: Coordinate case strategy and settlement conferences with external counsel, where required.
- Client Communication: Ensure clients are fully updated on the progress of their cases, providing clear and concise information.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Code of Conduct 2011 and the Solicitor Accounts Rules 2011.
- Qualifications: Solicitor qualification, CILEX, or minimum 3 years' litigation experience.
- Housing Disrepair Experience: Preferred, but not essential.
- Case Management and Time Recording: Effective use of case management and time recording systems.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills and client outcome-focused.
- SLAs and KPIs: Adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Court Litigation: Proactive and efficient management of your own litigation caseload, including full participation in Court case management and making applications.
- Multi-Track Experience: Multi-track experience is preferable, with Fast Track Litigation experience being a must.
- Counsel Liaison: Experience in instructing counsel, attending conferences, and general liaison with counsel.
- Communication: Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts, opponents, experts, and the court.
