SEND Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a primary school setting. This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, with a view to going permanent.
About the RoleAs a 1-2-1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to support students with everyday school life. You will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with SEND, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEMH needs and be able to provide a supportive and nurturing environment. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-2-1 support to students with SEND
- Work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Support students with everyday school life, including academic and social activities
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective support
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEND, preferably SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Dedication to providing high-quality support to students with SEND
