About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our Pharmacy Aseptic team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate stock levels across our two Aseptic stores, ensuring minimal wastage and a reliable service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the efficient purchasing of drug inventory
  • Ensure all stock is maintained across sites
  • Manage the progression of overdue orders and the timely collation and dissemination of information relating to drug supply problems
  • Provide support to the Specialist Technician in the sourcing of new or alternative product supply, the purchase of unlicensed medicines and to assist in the implementation of new drug contracts and policy changes

Requirements

  • HNC level knowledge or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience of computerised stock control procedures
  • Supervisory qualification or proven line management skills
  • Experience of dealing with a wide variety and grade of staff
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proven computer literacy and keyboard skills
  • Good literacy and numeric skills
  • Experience of pharmaceutical procurement is desirable

Working Conditions

The post holder is required to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis. Will be required to participate in the year end stock counts which are performed out of normal working hours.
