About the Role

The Pharmacy Services Assistant Trainee will play a vital role in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, supporting the pharmacy team in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the pharmacy team to ensure the accurate and efficient distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards and departments.
  • Assist in the receipt and processing of consignments from suppliers, including checking and booking into the pharmacy computer system.
  • Perform routine stock control procedures, ensuring stock is located under correct storage conditions and continuous evaluation of stock levels, stock rotation, and expiry dates is undertaken.
  • Contribute to the ward and department medicines top-up service, picking and packing orders for distribution under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for receipt of aseptic products and perform necessary clerical tasks associated with the service.
